Malta’s diverse cultural landscape was on full display as
the Bangladesh Malta Business Association hosted a vibrant celebration of an
Intercultural Festival alongside the Bengali New Year, uniting Maltese
residents and migrant communities in a shared spirit of inclusion and cultural
exchange.
The event, held in a lively and welcoming atmosphere, highlighted the importance of community cohesion in a country known for its rich history and diversity. Attendees were treated to a dynamic programme featuring traditional Bangladeshi music and dance, multicultural food offerings, and performances that reflected the varied cultural identities present across Malta.



A standout feature of the festival was the musical
performances by Bangladeshi students, whose energy and talent added a youthful
dimension to the celebrations. Their contribution was warmly received by the
audience, reinforcing the role of young people in preserving and sharing
cultural heritage.
Speaking during the event, Nazmul Istiak, Secretary of association
the significance of intercultural
dialogue in modern Maltese society.
“Malta itself is a country built on history, diversity, and connection. Today, we reflect those same values by bringing together people from different backgrounds, languages, and traditions,” he said.





He added that such initiatives go beyond celebration,
fostering meaningful interaction and understanding among communities. “When
cultures meet, something powerful happens: we learn from each other, we respect
each other, and most importantly, we grow together.”
Guests were encouraged not only to observe but to actively
participate—engaging with new cultures, trying different cuisines, and
connecting with people from different walks of life. The message of the day was
clear: unity thrives when diversity is embraced.
Organisers expressed their gratitude to volunteers,
